PARADISE DISPATCH | CYCLE 01 — COBALT DOWN
An abandoned windmill along the Paradise shoreline has become the fourth location connected to the ongoing Project Eden investigation.
The facility, identified as Cobalt Sawmill, appears at first to be another remnant of the island's former industrial operations. Its aging structures and timber-processing equipment offer little indication that it once played a role in one of Cobalt's most closely guarded programs.
But recovered shipping records have revealed something investigators weren't expecting.
Project Eden was moving sealed cargo through Cobalt's industrial supply network. And the Sawmill was not its final destination.
THE FOURTH EDEN CONNECTION
The discovery follows reports from three other locations: Quarantine Sanctuary, Eden Medical Facility and Eden Burial Vault.
Evidence recovered from those facilities has begun connecting civilian evacuations, medical transfers and containment casualties during the island's collapse.
Investigators have identified matching records across multiple locations, suggesting that individuals moved through a coordinated system rather than a collection of unrelated emergency facilities.
Until now, much of Haven's investigation has focused on what happened to the people caught inside that system.
The evidence at Cobalt Sawmill introduces a different question.
What was Project Eden moving out of it?
THE M-04 TRANSFER ORDER
Among the surviving records associated with the Sawmill is a Cobalt industrial transfer order designated M-04.
The document identifies sealed Project Eden cargo handled alongside ordinary timber shipments.
That detail is significant.
The Sawmill was not a medical installation. It was part of the infrastructure responsible for moving industrial materials around the island.
Yet Cobalt's records place restricted Eden shipments inside the same operation.
Whether the facility was selected for convenience, security or another purpose remains unknown. Investigators have also been unable to establish what the sealed containers held.
But one detail has attracted particular attention.
The transfer order indicates that the cargo was being forwarded to classified destinations elsewhere in Cobalt's network.
Whatever passed through the Sawmill was not meant to remain there.
AN INDUSTRIAL NETWORK WITH A HIDDEN PURPOSE?
The discovery raises questions about how extensively Project Eden relied on Cobalt's existing infrastructure.
Before the Fall, industrial facilities supported construction, transportation and the constant supply demands of a busy resort island.
As Cobalt expanded its control, those same facilities became part of a much larger corporate network.
The Sawmill records now suggest that at least one of those operations was also handling material associated with Eden.
Investigators are particularly interested in whether the transfers were connected to activities at the known medical and containment facilities.
No surviving evidence has yet established what the cargo contained or whether it originated from any one of those locations.
However, the presence of Eden shipments in industrial transfer records means investigators can no longer limit their search to medical installations.
Someone was moving material connected to Project Eden beyond the facilities where its operations were taking place.
And Cobalt's records do not reveal where it ultimately went.
COBALT'S PRESENCE CONTINUES
The discovery comes amid growing reports of armed Cobalt personnel at abandoned locations across Paradise.
Recent sightings at Sunfall Waterpark have already raised questions about why Cobalt continues maintaining a presence at former civilian landmarks.
The Sawmill presents another example of an ordinary island facility with a history that may be considerably more complicated than its appearance suggests.
Its connection to Eden is now supported by recovered documentation.
What remains unclear is whether the movements recorded under M-04 ended before the Fall or belonged to a larger operation whose full extent has yet to be uncovered.
🏝️ ISLANDERS — THE INVESTIGATION NEEDS YOUR HELP
Paradise Operations is asking Islanders exploring Cobalt Sawmill and the three previously identified Eden locations to document any unusual discoveries.
Shipping references, matching identifiers and surviving Cobalt paperwork may help investigators establish connections that are not immediately apparent when examining a single facility.
The investigation does not depend on visiting the locations in any particular order. Evidence recovered at one site may provide context for something discovered elsewhere.
For now, four locations have been confirmed.
The Quarantine Sanctuary, Eden Medical Facility and Eden Burial Vault offer evidence concerning the people caught inside Project Eden.
Cobalt Sawmill has opened an entirely different trail.
We are beginning to understand where Cobalt sent people. Now we need to find out where it sent everything else.
Paradise Dispatch will continue reporting as new evidence reaches Paradise Haven.
Paradise forgets. The Islanders remember.
