What is Project Eden?
Project Eden was Cobalt's classified human survival, contamination and adaptation research program. It preceded the Fall and remains central to the island's containment history. Some infected are living casualties of those experiments, not supernatural undead.
During Cycle 01 — COBALT DOWN, Paradise Haven intercepted two obsolete Cobalt medical identifiers. The recovered warning read: CONTAINMENT NOT CONFIRMED. That message prompted a field investigation rather than a declaration that the program had fully restarted.
Project Eden locations on the main island are explorable world discoveries. They are not the same thing as the separate, purchasable Project Eden assignments at the Paradise Haven Incident Command desk.
Quarantine Sanctuary
This overgrown former sanctuary is one of three Eden-related sites investigated by Islanders. Armed hazmat personnel have been encountered on its grounds. Its civilian origins and later containment role remain under investigation.
Expect armed resistance and search carefully for Cobalt or Eden evidence. Protective equipment indicates a possible contamination concern, but its exact history has not been established.
Eden Medical Facility
An isolated medical complex, recognizable by its fortified concrete construction. Its surviving spaces and guards offer clues to the medical experiments that may have preceded the containment failures.
The facility's personnel and their appearance are part of the current site encounter. Recovered records are more useful to Haven than speculation about who still controls the building.
Eden Burial Vault
A guarded burial and memorial site now being examined for its connection to Cobalt's handling of experimental casualties and biological evidence.
Its history has not been confirmed. The presence of security personnel and evidence does not establish whether the vault was used for ordinary burials, contaminated remains or deliberate concealment.
Nighttime graveyard incidents
Two Eden-themed graveyard encounters have been reported at night. Infected occupy the grounds, and coffins and readable evidence notes can reward careful investigation.
Treat these as separate incidents from the three primary Eden monuments. Do not assume every infected encountered here originated from the same experiment.
Nighttime conditions and hostile infected increase the danger. Graveyard locations and the threats encountered there may change as the island moves between Cycles.
Additional Cobalt and Eden records
Haven's investigation also tracks five provisional designations: Cobalt Transfer Mill, Eden Signal Site, Cobalt Disposal Depot, Eden Supply Exchange and Cobalt Transit Station.
These names survive in incomplete Cobalt records, but Haven has not established reliable locations or confirmed new field activity at those facilities.
- Cobalt Transfer Mill — potential contaminated industrial processing
- Eden Signal Site — experimental communications and behavioral research
- Cobalt Disposal Depot — possible destruction or concealment of biological evidence
- Eden Supply Exchange — suspected contaminated supply distribution
- Cobalt Transit Station — transport and logistics records
Finding the evidence
Use the current server map to look for active Project Eden site markers. The map is synchronized with the running server and may show different locations after a Cycle Reset. Markers represent recently reported sites, not permanent guarantees that a location exists at fixed coordinates.
Investigate cautiously, collect readable notes, and compare what you find with Paradise Dispatch reporting. Haven's Survivor Ledger preserves discoveries even when the Cycle rebuilds the island.
Paradise Haven remains the protected survivor hub. Report unusual findings, missing personnel, medical identifiers and evidence of further containment failures to the community.
