PARADISE HAVEN — The Islanders were expecting their current survival cycle to end on October 29. Instead, they have been given seven additional days.
The next Cycle Reset has been postponed until November 5, extending an already difficult period on the island. For residents of Paradise Haven, the extra time offers an opportunity to strengthen defenses, gather supplies, and continue investigating Project Eden.
But as Halloween disturbances spread across the island, some survivors are beginning to question whether the extension is really a fortunate break.
And a troubling possibility has emerged.
What if Cobalt is using the extra week to turn Islanders against one another?
HALLOWEEN BRINGS NEW THREATS
The island has become increasingly unpredictable following the arrival of the annual Halloween activity.
Scarecrows and mummies have joined the threats already roaming the landscape. Strange creatures, unusual discoveries, and sudden competitions for valuable supplies are drawing Islanders into unfamiliar situations.
The mysterious rifts previously investigated by Paradise Dispatch have only added to the uncertainty.
None of these disturbances has been conclusively linked to Cobalt. Nevertheless, Haven investigators are questioning what an organization already associated with experimental containment might learn from observing a population exposed to these conditions.
Fear changes behavior. Scarcity encourages competition. And when survival becomes increasingly difficult, even the most independent Islanders may begin looking for protection.
That raises another question.
Who might be offering it?
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE VISORS
Recent images from an island facility show groups of hazmat-equipped personnel gathered inside rooms containing equipment, supplies, and armed individuals.

At first glance, the figures resemble conventional security personnel operating in a hazardous environment.
But a protective suit and a weapon do not necessarily make someone a trained soldier.
