With our next wipe approaching, we want to clear up something important about how XP and the Skill Tree work on LOST PARADISE.
Your Skill Tree progression is designed to stay with you, even when the island wipes.
We built LOST PARADISE around long-term character progression. Whether you play a few hours a week or spend every day exploring the island, the time you invest in developing your character should mean something.
What Carries Over After a Wipe?
Our Skill Tree system is configured to preserve:
Character Level — Keep the levels you've earned.
Accumulated XP — Your experience progress carries forward.
Skill Points — Keep your earned and allocated skill points.
Unlocked Abilities — Your unlocked skills stay with your character.
Prestige Progress — Your Prestige achievements and progression remain intact.
This applies to both our regular server wipes and Facepunch forced wipes.
What Happens When the Island Wipes?
The island resets. Bases are rebuilt, resources are gathered again, and a new Cycle begins.
But your Skill Tree progression does not start over.
If you're Level 45 before a wipe, the system is configured to preserve that level when you return for the next Cycle.
You can pick up where you left off, continue earning XP, unlock additional abilities, and work toward the Level 100 cap and Prestige system.
Why Are We Doing This?
LOST PARADISE isn't just about gathering weapons, raiding bases, or collecting loot.
We're building an ongoing PvE experience where your character grows alongside the story of the island.
Every Cycle brings new opportunities, challenges, events, and discoveries tied to Project Eden. The world may change, but the progress you've earned stays with you.
We're not interested in making Islanders grind through the same levels every two weeks.
Your time matters. Your progression matters.
Major progression resets are not part of our normal wipe schedule. If a serious technical or balancing issue ever requires changes, we'll communicate those changes with the community.

SERVER WIPE: Thursday, November 5 — 2 PM ET
