Hey everyone! Figured it was about time I introduced myself properly.
Most of you probably know me as Smash, the owner of LOST PARADISE.
A little about me. I work full-time. Creature and Scout are also good friends and help out with the server.
I've been putting a ridiculous amount of time into LOST PARADISE lately. Between working, traveling, and everything else life throws at me, most of my free time has gone into getting this place where I want it. I'm pretty sure Creature thinks I've lost my mind a few times. 😂
I started this server because I wanted something a little different from the usual Rust experience. I enjoy the building, exploring, raiding, and just hanging out, but I wanted there to be more to discover than the same old stuff every wipe.
That's where the whole LOST PARADISE story started coming together. The island, Cobalt, Project Eden, and all the little mysteries scattered around. I've got a lot of ideas for where I want to take it, and we're really just getting started.
But here's the thing. I'm not trying to build the biggest Rust server out there. I'd much rather have a smaller group of good people who enjoy playing together, helping each other out, and actually look forward to coming back after a wipe.
Something else I want to make clear is that I don't want LOST PARADISE to be a pay-to-win server. Yes, we offer optional VIP packages with some extra perks, and those help support the server, but that's not what this place is supposed to be about. I don't want anyone feeling like they have to open their wallet just to enjoy the game. I want people to come here, have fun, explore, build, raid, discover the story, and enjoy everything we've put together. Whether you spend a dime or not, you're just as welcome here as anybody else.
I'm also not one of those owners who just sits behind an admin panel. I enjoy actually playing Rust, building my own base, exploring the island, and getting into trouble just like everybody else.
We're still growing, and I'm sure there are things that need fixing or improving. If something isn't right, tell me. If you've got an idea, I want to hear it. I don't take constructive criticism personally. I want this place to be something we're all proud to be part of.
Anyway, that's a little about me. I'm glad you're here, whether you've been around since the beginning or just stumbled across us yesterday.
